This ring is cast in sand as one solid piece with sterling silver, made from an original design carved in wax. The sapphire is placed in the sand before casting, due to the flow of the metal stone may shift during the metal pour adding to the organic aesthetic process.

Imprints of the sand from this casting method are left in the silver for a rustic finish. The silver is oxidised adding contrast to the sparkling gemstone and depth to the texture.

The thickness of the ring is approximately 2.17mm at the bottom of the band, 4.8mm at the top. The ring width 3.32 mm at the bottom and 5.26mm at the top.
